Hot Springs Thursday

Yes, the start of our first horse racing weekend for February.  We settle in for an Arkansas dirt battle at wonderful Oaklawn Park.

Oaklawn Park Race 8 {6 furlongs~4 year old Up~Allowance}
A great dirt sprint shapes up with ten going to the gate.  Lots of runners coming off layoffs in this contest.  The race appears to be evenly divided between those that motor on the front end and those coming off the pace.  It could be an exciting one.

#9 Special Heart (Saez / Fires) will be coming off a two year layoff, but is well prepped for his first race back.  He holds the highest (tie) speed number over the dirt, has the third highest speed number at the distance, and holds the second highest speed number at legendary Oak Lawn Park.  Prepping for this one he has put in four strong, peaking workouts.  He could blast through the stretch and on to victory.
$2 SHOW.

#3 Admiral Rocket (Razo / Howard) looks supreme going into this one with the highest (tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and two hearty workouts.  This guy is capable of securing the win.
$2 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#4 Bonaroo (Thompson / Lukas) is coming off a route with a decent speed number and one peaking workout.  He shares the third highest speed number at the distance as well as the highest overall speed number.  This colt could be a big factor in the race.

10 CENT Superfecta

None offered for this race.

Last Superfecta Sunday (1/29) Results
Golden Gate R8.  We misfired on our 10 CENT Superfecta box securing only two of the finishers in the top four.  Our pick, Advance Ticket, did place 2nd for show money of $2.20.
Superfecta went 5-3-2-7.
Bankroll dips to $5.90.
