Thursday Turfday at Churchill

Heading into the glorious Preakness 137 weekend we stop to smell the TURF looking at a very nice route at magnificent Churchill Downs.

A great field of ten fillies will venture onto the green.  A nice balance of all runnning styles will make this a competitive event.  Only a handfull have gone this distance in their young careers, but all appear able to make the distance comfortably.  It should be a grand TURF battle.

#7 Heart of Destiny (Lanerie / Baker) will be going a bit longer in this race, but appears ready with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two fluid workouts.  Their should be ample speed for her to close swiftly in the stretch.

#9 M'dearest (Bridgmohan / Motion) will challenge with the highest speed number at the distance as well as the third highest last out speed number.  She is 100% in the money at this distance over three races.  This gal should be able to contest the closing herd in the stretch.

Other Wagering Interests

#6 Silver Hustler (Sellers / Foster) will be trying Turf for the first time with the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and four superb workouts.  She is another that should be closing well in the stretch.

#5 Cozze Up Lady (Mena / Calhoun) will be one of speedsters capable of holding on with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and four superrior peaking workouts.  She could give them all a run for their money on the front end.

Betfair Hollywood Park R7.  Round Table Stakes.  A key horse, Falcon Rock [IRE], in our 10 CENT Superfecta box was scratched.  Consequently, we dumped our 10 CENT Superfecta box play.  Superfecta went 7-3-8-4.
Our Bronze Horseshoe runner, Dhaamer [IRE], won (1st) for show money of $2.40.
Bankroll gains a few dimes to $10.72.
