Horse Racing Weekend Begins

We begin our horse racing weekend on this Thursday at wonderful Oaklawn Park.

Oaklawn Park Race 8 {1 1/16 mile~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~Allowance}
A great group of nine fillies and mares will line up for this allowance feature.  All have speed numbers very close to one another over this route distance.  There is sufficient speed to keep the pace together and there is enough tracking the pace to keep it interesting.  This one should be a very good race.

#6 Come Acorkin (Court / Compton) looks very strong with the second highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and two robust peaking workouts.  She should press or track the pace ready to strike in the stretch.  This gal is 100% in the money at the distance over four starts.
$2 SHOW.

#8 Sheza Roman Ruler (Santana / Asmussen) will challenge with the fourth highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and three stout, peaking workouts.  This gal could be the speed of the race that holds on through controlled fractions.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#4 Fast Bobbi J (Vazquez / Sims) should contend with the highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and one solid workout.  She should track the pace looking to out gun the others in the stretch run.

#1 Pedestrian (Quinonez / D.K. Von Hemel) will be in the hunt sharing the highest last out speed number, holding a two race progression, and putting in one hearty workout.  She should be able to track and close efficiently.

10 CENT Superfecta
None is offered for this race.
