Sunny Florida Thursday Turf

 On this Thursday, our horse racing weekend opens as we examine a nice Turf contest in sunny Florida.

Gulfstream Park Race 7 {1 1/16 mile~TURF~3 year olds~Optional Claiming}
A good group of nine will make the start on the green.  There is enough speed in here to keep the pace very honest.  It comes up fairly balanced with speedsters, pressers, trackers, and closers.  It should be a great competition.

#6 Dad'z Laugh (Lopez / Chapparro) appears to have a slight edge with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two hearty workouts.  He should be forwardly placed ready to romp.
$1 WIN / $1 SHOW.

#7 Midnight Notes (Rosario / Plesa) will challenge with the second highest (3-way tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and two hardy workouts.  He should track the pace ready to strike in the stretch.
$1 PLACE / $1 SHOW.

#1 Boy of Summer (Lezcano / Garcia) should be in contention sharing the second highest last out speed number and putting in two superb, peaking workouts.  He is another that could track the pace and launch steadily in the stretch.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#2 Fifth Ave Fancy (Castellano / Sacco) should be up to the challenge with the third highest speed number at the distance, coming off a longer route and running two athletic workouts.  Another that could track the pace and close well.

#8 He's So Fine (J. Velazquez / McPeek) is the lone Triple Crown nominee in this event.  He is coming off a nice freshening.  Holding the second highest (3-way tie) speed number at the distance and producing a great four workout tab.  Expect him to close fluidly through the stretch.

10 CENT Superfecta

#6 Dad'z Laugh / #7 Midnight Notes / #1 Boy of Summer / #2 Fifth Ave Fancy, #8 He's So Fine.

Last Superfecta Sunday (2/17) Results

Bankroll drops some cents and lands at $3.65.  We will supplement with $10.00 for this horse racing weekend.
