A Horse Racing Weekend Begins

Our horse racing weekend begins at the mighty Keeneland.

Keeneland Race 8 {Sycamore~G3~1 1/2 mile~TURF~3 year old Up~Graded Stakes}
A good group of nine will go to the green in this feature race. It comes up a little light on speed. Expect a rapid quickening heading into the stretch run. The speed numbers are very close making this race a highly competitive one.

#9 Unitarian (Castellano / Pletcher) should be the favorite and the one to beat. He holds the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and four strong peaking workouts. This guy should be flying late into the stretch battle.
$2 SHOW.

#5 Villandry (Bridgmohan / Lopresti) should challenge with the third highest (3-way tie) last out speed number and two stout workouts. He is coming off a fourth place finish in a grade one event up at Woodbine. This lad is one that should track and close diligently.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#4 Red Rifle (J. Velazquez / Pletcher) should contend with the second highest (3-way tie) last out speed number, a five race progression, and two hearty workouts. He should be forwardly placed with a chance to wire this field.

#3 Holiday Star (Naprvnik / Motion) should also contend sharing the second highest last out speed number, holding a five race progression, and gearing up with one triumphant workout. He is another that will be part of the quickening crew with a tracking/closing running style.

10 CENT Superfecta
