Furlong Friday at Laurel

Thank goodness it is Furlong Friday. Today we take a look at a competitive contest for youngsters.

Laurel Park Race 8 {5 furlongs~2 year old~fillies~Claiming}
A wonderful field of nine juveniles will go to the gate in this claiming feature. There is plenty of speed to guarantee swift pace.  These youngsters are all fairly close in terms of their speed numbers and they all seem to be improving nicely. It should be superb race.

#9 Christmas Barn (Evans / Capuano) could take another step forward with the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a four race progression, and one bullet workout. This lad should be staying with the pace ready to deliver.
$2 SHOW.

#4 One Massive Cat (Ritvo / Pino) should challenge sharing the second highest last out speed number in his only start and putting in two superb peaking workouts. This guy could close down the field into an honest pace.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#3 Mast Cove (Cruz / Robb) should contend with the second highest speed number at the distance, a couple of decent last out speed numbers, and two tremendous workouts. He could be tracking the pace closely ready to strike going into the stretch.

#7 Forestry's Majesty (Carasco / Rodriguez) should be in the mix with the highest last out speed number in his only start and two hearty workouts. This lad could be the speed of the forwardly placed group seeking to hold off all challengers.

#6 Linda's Lollipop (McCarthy / J. Salzman) could be in the hunt with a couple of decent last out speed number coming off a longer sprint. He sports the highest speed number at the distance and should be battling with the front running group.

Santa Anita R5.  Maiden Special Weight.  Our first pick, Willing to Travel, finished 2nd for show money of $3.00.  Our second pick, Miltee, finished 7th.
Superfecta went 6-5-2-4.
