Furlong Friday; Hawthorne Opens

A fruitful Furlong Friday begins as Hawthorne opens its Fall season.

Hawthorne Race Course Race 6 {6 furlongs~3 year old Up~Allowance Optional Claiming}
A seasoned field of eight will go to the gate. There is some decent speed which should lead to a sound pace. All of these guys are very close in terms of their speed numbers at the distance and on a dirt surface. It should be a dandy of a six furlong race.

#7 Sacred Gift (Colvin / Reavis) has a good shot at victory with the third highest last out speed number and one robust workout. This lad also holds the second highest speed number at the distance. He should be tracking and closing willingly.
$2 SHOW.

#4 Sneaky Blowout (Felix / G. Scherer) is coming in from Cantebury Park with the highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and one peaking workout. He has a versatile running style which should be a great advantage in this field.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#1 Sancerre (EE Perez / D. Bennett) should contend with the second highest last out speed numbers, a two race progression, and one solid workout. He should be closing swiftly with a decent pace.

#5 Bank Account (Emigh / Bruggemann) should be in the mix with a couple of decent last out speed numbers, a two race progression, and three hearty workouts. He should be the speed of the race and has the potential to wire this field.
