Furlong Friday at Fair Grounds

Thank goodness its Furlong Friday. We take a look at a fine Louisiana sprint.

Fair Grounds Race 5 {6 furlongs~4 year-old Up~LA~Claiming}
A decent group of seven will venture to the gate in this mid-card contest. Lots of speed will keep a contested pace. These lads speed figures come up very close to one another making for a terrific race.

#3 Malachite (Graham / Roussel) is coming off an extended layoff, but appears well prepped. He holds the second highest speed number at the distance. His last outing was good, giving him the third highest speed number. Prior to the layoff he was working a two race progression. This lad has put in two solid peaking workouts for the comeback.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#6 Aaron of Goshen (Rosier / Broberg) will challenge with the highest last out speed number and two robust workouts. This guy enjoys the Fair Grounds course and should be forwardly placed ready to roll.

#1 Warren's Rebel (A. Lezcano / A. Leggio) should contend with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two mighty fine workouts. He has the tactical speed to maintain contact with whatever pace develops.

#5 B and B's Pulpit (B. Hernandez / M. Scherer) should be in the mix with a couple of decent last out speed numbers. He is coming out of route race and has put in one hearty workout. This lad will take advantage of any pace boil over.
