Furlong Friday in Arkansas

Thank goodness it's Furlong Friday. Today we take a look at a nice six furlong battle on the dirt.

Oaklawn Park Race 8 {6 furlongs~4 year old Up~Optional Claiming}
A talented group of seven will go to the gate in this feature race. It is stacked with speed which should ensure a hot pace. All of these lads are close in terms of speed figures. it should be a dandy of a sprint.

#5 Captain Genius (Ocampo / Young) might have the edge with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two steady workouts. He shares the highest speed number at the distance and the second highest over the Oaklawn track.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#6 Santa Elf (Rocco / A. Dutrow) should challenge with the third highest last out speed number and two robust workouts. He is coming down from the Northeast track circuit into the warmth of Hot Springs. Should the pace boil over, this lad could come a runnin' in the clear with his tracking and closing capability.

#4 Visionary Ruler (Mello / Becker) could surprise with a decent last out speed number and one strong bullet workout. This guy shares the highest speed number at the distance. He should be forwardly placed ready to battle.

#1 Guns Loaded (Hamilton / Hartman) is coming off an extended layoff, but has scored a win at this distance. He has put in four superb peaking workouts that include three bullets. He is another that will take advantage of a hot pace with his tracking running style.
