Horse Racing Weekend begins on the Turf

We venture to the City of New Orleans for an early Turf contest.

Fair Grounds Race 4 {1 1/16 mile~TURF~4 year-old Up~fillies/mares~Optional Claiming}
A good group of seven gals will hit the green in this early Turf contest. There is some speed to keep an honest pace. These gals all have very close speed numbers which should make for a highly competitive race.

#5 More Than Less (Albarado / Asmussen) could have the edge with the highest (tie) last out speed number and a two race progression. She also holds the third highest speed number at the distance. This gal loves the Turf and should be tracking the lead group ready to strike.
$2 SHOW.

#1 Cali Star (Torres / Cohn) looks to challenge while switching over to the Turf. She shares the highest last out speed number and is working a two race progression.  This gal holds the highest in the money record at 70%. Look for her to track and strut into the stretch.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#4 Masquerade (Geroux / Stidham) will challenge with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one solid workout. She should be part of the lead group seeking to hold on.

#3 Super Sky (Graham / McKeever) should contend with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and four superior peaking workouts. She is another that will track and close diligently.
