Horse Racing Weekend New Orleans Style

Our horse racing weekend begins on the Turf in fabulous New Orleans.

Fair Grounds Race 4 {1 mile~TURF~4 year-old Up~Fillies/Mares~Maiden Claiming}
A good field of eight will take to the green in this Maiden Claiming race. It comes up short on speed. The field is fairly close in terms of overall speed numbers. This is a highly competitive event.

#6 Linda's Choice (Geroux / D. Carroll) might have a slight edge with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and four superb workouts. She should be part of the tracking crew seeking to score. This gal loves the Fair Grounds turf.
$2 SHOW.

#5 Romance in Vegas (Murrill / Alonzo) should present a formidable challenge with the fourth highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and three hearty peaking workouts. She comes into this from Delta Downs after a brief layoff.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#4 Miss Sekiguchi (Eramia / Tessore) will contend in her second career start. She holds the third highest (tie) last out speed number and has put in one solid workout. In her first start she went this distance and hit the board in third.

#8 Irish Vixen (Bonnet / Frost) could surprise with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and two good workouts. This gal holds the fourth highest speed number among this group over the Turf surface. She could be in the game late.

10 CENT Superfecta

#6 Linda's Choice  /  #5 Romance in Vegas  /  #4 Miss Sekiguchi  /  #8 Irish Vixen.
