Horse Racing Weekend begins at Belmont

We start off our horse racing weekend with a little New York route.

Belmont Park Race 8 {1 1/16 mile~3 year-old~NY~Optional Claiming}

A great group of seven will go to the gate in this afternoon feature. There is plenty of speed and forwardly placed types to keep the pace rolling. Speed numbers are fairly comparable. It should be a fantastic race.

#2 Force (Lezcano / Casse) might have the edge as he drops in from a stakes event going a longer route. He holds the second highest speed number at the distance and has put in two sensational workouts. This guy has the tactical speed to settle in nicely and turn it on in the stretch.
$1 WIN  /  $2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#7 Beyond Empire (I. Ortiz / McLaughlin) could have it easy it the pace heats up. He should be tracking the pace ready to strike. This lad holds the second highest last out speed number at a longer route, a five race progression, and two robust workouts.

#3 Petrocelli (M. Franco / Barrera) will be seeking his third win in a row. He holds the highest last out speed number and a three race progression. This guy will attempt to grab the lead and try to wire the field. He has been successful at this distance hitting the board 80% of the time.

#1 Sioux (J. Ortiz / Nevin) will be stretching out for this one with a couple of o.k. last out speed numbers, a two race progression and four serious peaking workouts. He does hold the highest speed number over the dirt. Expect him to sit right off the pace ready to rumble.

10 CENT Superfecta

#2 Force  /  #7 Beyond Empire  /  #3 Petrocelli  /  #1 Sioux.

Last Superfecta Sunday (9/17) Results
Woodbine R6. Northern Dancer--G1.  We failed in our 20 CENT Superfecta box effort capturing only two of the four in the box. Superfecta went 6-9-1-5.
Our Bronze Horseshoe runner, Aldous Snow, finished 8th.
Bankroll tumbles to $1.71. We will supplement with a Hamilton for this horse racing weekend.
