We Start Our Horse Racing Weekend at Arlington

For the start of our horse racing weekend we take a look at a mile Turf race at beautiful Arlington International.

Arlington International Race 6 {1 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~fillies/mares~Maiden Claiming}

A sassy group of eight gals will take to the green in search of their first victory. It shows no speed which should make for an interesting start and a modest pace. Speed figs are fairly close. The weather is threatening rain, but there is hope it will stay on the Turf. It should be a very intriguing race.

#2 War Dress (Emigh / Kirby) will be making her third career start. She gets back to the turf where she rates the fourth highest speed number over the surface. This gal has put in two hearty workouts and switches to a higher percentage jockey for this effort. She is one of many in here that have shown tracking ability.
$2 SHOW.

#1 Greely's Charisma (Montalvo / Livesay) will moving onto the Turf for the first time. She holds the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two athletic workouts. She will be tracking the pace and should relish the surface change.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interest

#4 Zahar (Rengifo / Rainwater) will also be transitioning turf for her fifth career start. This gal will be coming into this off a brief layoff holding the second highest speed number at the distance and putting in three superb workouts. She should be forwardly placed and by default may lead the field through modest fractions.

#7 Jack N Ginger (Murrill / Davis) holds the highest last out speed number and a three race progression. She is another that could be expected to track the pace. This gal could push through to capture a piece of the purse pie.
