Sunny California Superfecta Sunday

The close of our September weekends of Horse Racing we look to sunny California for some racing luck.

Santa Anita Race 8 {City of Hope Stakes~1 Mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Stakes}

A great group of nine will enter the starting gates in this feature Turf spectacular. There is plenty of speed to create a robust pace. Most have speed figs that ate fairly close making for a highly competitive event. Our task is to fasten together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta ticket.

#5 Twentytwentyvision (Espinoza / Mandella) might have the edge with the third highest last out speed number at a longer route, a three race progression, and four superior peaking workouts. This lad is 100% in the money from eight career starts. He should be close to the pace ready to strike in the stretch. This guy is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$2 SHOW.

#6 Talco [FR] (Bejarano / Sadler) will challenge with the second highest (tie) last out speed number and three superb workouts. He holds the highest (tie) speed number at the distance and is 80% in the money from ten starts from the same. With a heated pace this guy should fly home.

#7 Avanzare (Stevens / Proctor) should contend with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and three excellent workouts. This guy has a versatile running style that will fit the pace. He is coming off two wins with a 100% in the money record at this distance.

#4 Silentio (Smith / Mandella) could surprise coming off an extended layoff. He shares the highest speed number at the mile distance.  This guy loves the Santa Anita course and should be tracking the pace closely. His last two outings prior to the layoff were o.k., but he has put in three stellar workouts prepping for his return.

10 CENT Superfecta Box ($2.40)

#5 Twentytwentyvision  +  #6 Talco [FR]  +  #7 Avanzare  +  #4 Silentio.
