Staying On at Saratoga for Superfecta Sunday

Superfecta Sunday falls upon as both Saratoga and Del Mar close their respective meets tomorrow, Labor Day. Today we look at a nice Turf sprint for our Superfecta play.

Saratoga Race 7 {5 1/2 furlongs~TURF~3 year-old Up~Claiming}

A competitive group of nine will hit the green in this claiming event. There is enough speed to keep a steamy pace. Speed numbers are remarkably close among the leading contenders. Our task is to cobble a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.

#5 Sidearm (Castellano / Gullo) might have the edge with the highest (tie) last out speed number at a longer sprint and two strong workouts. He will trying Turf again after a long campaign over the dirt. This lad does hold the best in the money record of 73% from nineteen starts.

#4 The Imposter (Franco / J. Englehart) should challenge sharing the highest last out speed number at a longer sprint and putting in two stout workouts. He holds the highest speed number at the distance. This guy is dropping into this one from a higher class claiming event.

#8 Blue Pigeon (J. Ortiz / L. Rice) should contend with the second highest last out speed number and one hearty workout. He holds a solid in the money record of 57%. This lad loves the Saratoga Turf and holds the second highest speed fig over it. He is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$3 SHOW.

#2 The Comish (Rosario / Plesa) should be in the mix with the fourth highest last out speed number and a four race progression. He is a sound 62% in the money from eight starts. This colt should be forwardly placed ready to strike in the stretch.
