Friday Start to Our Horse Racing Weekend

We hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving with family and friends providing a very special thanks to our Equine heros.

Today we take in a Turf stakes at the glorious Del Mar Thoroughbred Club.

Del Mar Race 8 {Seabiscuit Handicap~G2~1 1/16 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}

A primed and ready group of nine will hit the green in this feature stakes race. There is enough speed to keep an honest pace. Speed numbers are fairly close all in a top-notch range. It should be a fantastic race to watch as we dig into the leftovers from yesterday's feast.

#5 Avanzare (Van Dyke / Proctor) might have a slight edge with the highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and three strong workouts. This lad is coming into this race off a brief layoff holding on to a 92% in the money record. He is proven at this distance and has the tactical speed to handle any pace that develops.
$2 WIN  /  $3 SHOW.

#8 Alert Bay (Gutierrez / Wright) will challenge with the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number and two robust workouts. He should be forwardly placed looking to strike heading into the stretch. He is another with a supreme in the money record of 85% from twenty starts.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#9 Big Bane Theory (Graham / Gaines) should contend sharing the fourth highest last out speed number, working a four race progression, and putting in two hearty workouts. This lad could benefit greatly from an explosive pace.

#6 Abbey Vale [IRE] (Gonzalez / D'Amato) could surprise coming out a longer Turf route just missing the board. This will be his first effort at this distance with a two race progression and four excellent workouts. He should be tracking the pace ready to pounce.

10 CENT Superfecta

#5 Avanzare  /  #8 Alert Bay  /  #9 Big Bane Theory  /  #6 Abbey Vale [IRE].
