Stakes Saturday at Ol' Del Mar

Staying on in sunny Southern California to look in on the youngsters galloping over the Turf.

Del Mar Race 5 {Jimmy Durante~G3~1 mile~TURF~2 year-old~fillies~Graded Stakes}

A fine crew of thirteen young gals will take to the Turf in this feature graded stakes race. There seems to be enough speed to carry them through decent fractions. The speed numbers are so close that it could be anyone's race. It should be a spectacular Turf mile.

#3 Riri (Bejarano / D'Amato) will be seeking her third win in a row. She holds the fourth highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three ultra-fine workouts. This daughter of Speightstown should be forwardly placed seeking running room to ramble in the stretch.

#5 Corps de Ballet (Stevens / Callaghan) should challenge with the second highest last out speed number and two robust workouts. This gal has a versatile running style to fit the developing pace. Another daughter of Speightstown, she holds the highest speed number over the Turf surface.

#13 Mirage [IRE] (T. Baze / Callaghan) was last seen in the Breeder's Cup Championships. She holds the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two hearty workouts. This daughter of Oasis Dream [IRE] will be rolling late into a solid pace.

#6 Jeremy's Legacy [IRE] (Gutierrez / O'Neill) should contend sharing the second highest last out speed number, working a three race progression, and putting in two superb peaking workouts. This daughter of Jeremy should be tracking the pace closely.

Superfecta went 7-3-2-4.
Bankroll gets clobbered, dropping to $7.16.
