Superfecta Sunday down in Kentucky

We enter Superfecta Sunday with some hope that the sun will shine down on our selections to get them motored toward the wire. Today we take in a mile Turf contest in glorious Kentucky.

Churchill Downs Race 9 {1 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Allowance Optional Claiming}

A great group of ten battle hardened Turf veterans will take to the Churchill green in this late card feature. Speed numbers are very close, reflecting a tremendously competitive event. There is plenty of speed in this one as well.  Our task is to string together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.

#6 Saffron Hall (Albarado / Maker) is coming back from a close to a year layoff where he was last seen winning three in a row. He comes back with the best in the money record of 73% among this group. Coupled with three superb workouts, he appears ready to come back to his winning ways. He should be part of the front running crew.

#2 Patrioticandproud (Bridgmohan / Casse) will challenge with a couple of good last out speed numbers and two strong workouts. He is coming off a longer route in a graded stakes event. This guy should be forwardly placed seeking to get first jump on the leader. He has a 50% in the money record over the Turf from ten starts. This lad will be our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$2 SHOW.

#3 Gabriels Cat (Goncalves / Samer) should contend with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one stout workout. He should find his way behind the leaders seeking to strike in the stretch. This guy relishes the distance and the Churchill course.

#7 Sportscaster (Mena / Romans) might well be in the mix with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and one robust workout. He is coming off a longer route and should be forwardly placed for this Turf mile. Again, he is another that loves the distance as well as the Churchill grass.

10 CENT Superfecta box ($2.40)
