Stakes Saturday on the Big "A" Turf

A beautiful Fall Stakes Saturday unfurls today. We take a look at a super competitive graded Turf contest at the Big "A".

Aqueduct Race 7 {Red Smith Handicap~G3~1 3/8 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}

A great crew of eight talented turfers will hit the Aqueduct green in this feature race. There is sufficient speed to maintain an honest pace. Speed numbers are fairly close making it a highly competitive event. It should be one of the best races on a beautiful Fall day.

#6 Kaigun (Rosario / Casse) might have the edge with the highest last out speed number at a longer Turf route, a three race progression, and two robust workouts. This millionaire should be tracking the pace closely ready to roll. This son of Northern Afleet is coming down from Woodbine.
$1 WIN  /  $2 PLACE  /  $3 SHOW.

#3 War Dancer (Lezcano / Mott) should challenge with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three superb peaking workouts. This lad should be forwardly placed seeking to get first jump on the leaders going into the stretch. This son of War Front holds the highest speed number at the distance along with a 100% in the money record at same.
$1 PLACE  /  $2 SHOW.

#9 Mr. Maybe (I. Ortiz / C. Brown) will contend with the second highest last out speed number, a five race progression, and three strong workouts. This son of Ghostzapper has a win at this distance.  He should be tracking and closing valiantly.
