Horse Racing Weekend begins 1815 miles from Louisville

We begin our horse racing weekend approximately 1,815 miles from Louisville, Kentucky, in sunny Southern California. We peer in on a fabulous downhill Turf contest.

Santa Anita Park Race 5 {6 1/2 furlongs~downhill TURF~3 year-old Up~Fillies/Mares~Starter Allowance}

A solid group of eight will make the downhill run in this Turf feature. Most in here like to be very close to the pace without any clear speed types. It should make for a very intriguing contest. Speed numbers are very close making it a superbly competitive race.

#7 Nazareth (Bejarano / Papaprodromou) might have the edge with the third highest last out speed number at a route and two robust workouts. This gal loves the distance and the Santa Anita Turf course. She is likely to battle it out with the front running group.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#2 Silver Mojave (T. Baze / Puype) will challenge with the second highest last out speed number and one solid workout. She sports the highest speed number over the Santa Anita downhill course. This gal is another that will be on or near the lead.

#1 Summer Lady (Prat / Miyadi) will contend with the highest last out speed number at a route, a three race progression, and three strong stamina producing workouts. She too will be near the lead coming down the hill.

#3 Tiz Sweet Bliss (Gonzalez / M. Jones) should be in the thick of it with the fourth highest last out speed number and two superb peaking workouts. She is coming into this with a brief freshening. This lady will also be near the lead.
