Stakes Saturday on the Turf

On this Stakes Saturday we take a peek at a classic Turf race.

Belmont Park Race 10 {Man O War~G1~1 3/8 mile~inner TURF~4 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}

A strong group of nine will tread onto the Turf for this classic contest. All but one in here enjoy coming from off the pace making it an intriguing race. Speed numbers are remarkably close insuring a highly competitive race. It should be one of the best graded stakes races today.

#3 Can'thelpbelieving [IRE] (Rosario / Motion) might have the edge with the fourth highest last out speed number and one superlative bullet workout. He loves the Turf and favors this distance. This guy appears to be in wholesome form for the race. A son of Duke of Marmalade [IRE] he should track the pace closely ready for the quickening going into the stretch.
$1 WIN  /  $2 PLACE  /  $3 SHOW.

#7 Kaigun (Bravo / Casse) will mount a vigorous challenge with the second highest last out speed number at a longer route and one hearty workout. This lad holds the highest speed number at the distance as well as over the Belmont Turf. A son of Northern Afleet, he will also be tracking the pace.
$1 PLACE  /  $2 SHOW.

#4 Closing Bell (Lezcano / Mott) should contend with the third highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and three stellar workouts. This guy has already posted a victory at this distance from two tries. A son of Tapit, he should, along with most of the rest be tracking the pace ready to strike.
$1 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#9 Wake Forest [GER] (J. Velazquez / C. Brown) should have a major impact in this race with the highest last out speed number at a longer route, a two race progression, and four robust workouts. He may go off as the favorite. After competing at longer he will try this distance for the first time. A son of Sir Percy [GB], he should track and close gallantly.
