Stakes Saturday at Gulfstream Park

For Stakes Saturday we return to sunny Florida.

Gulfstream Park Race 10 {Ft. Lauderdale~G2~1 1/16~TURF~4 year old Up~Stakes}
A superb group of eleven Turfers go to the gate in this annual graded stakes race.  There is enough speed to keep the pace honest, but if the speedsters control the pace it could be their day.

#3 Fifty Proof (Trujillo / Black) will show speed with the second highest (tie) last out speed number and four strong, peaking workouts.  He also has the highest speed number on a TURF surface.  A very good record in graded stakes (83% in the money) adds to his arsenal.
$1 WIN / $2 PLACE / $3 SHOW.

#4 Dominus (J. Velazquez / Pletcher) could dominate with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and three robust workouts.  He should be forwardly placed ready to strike going into the stretch.
$1 PLACE / $2 SHOW.

#8 Big Blue Kitten (Castellano / C. Brown) will chalenge with a versatile and tactical running style.  He is 100% in the money at the distance over five races.  With a couple of decent last out speed numbers and three diligent workouts, he should be prepared to do well.  He also holds the second highest speed number at the distance.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#2 Nikki's Sandcastle (Lanerie / Kassen) will no doubt be in the mix sharing the second highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and four hardy workouts.  This guy loves the Gulfstream Park course.

#7 Sky Blazer (Rosario / Tagg) should be in the mix with third highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and four superb workouts.  He holds the highest (triple-digit) speed number at the distance.

10 CENT Superfecta

#3 Fifty Proof / #4 Dominus / #8 Big Blue Kitten / #2 Nikki's Sandcastle, #7 Sky Blazer.
