We look toward a pleasant Furlong Friday near the Hollywood hills.

A talented group of eight will go to the gate in this California Bred Allowance feature.  There are a few forwardly placed types in here that may get the lead by default.  The vast majority relish a more tracking / closing style of running.  It should make for a very interesting race for this closely matched group.

#3 Apollo Ten (M. Garcia / Machowsky) might have a slight edge with the highest (tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and two robust workouts.  He has run well at this distance maintaining an 80% in the money record in five starts.  A versatile running style lends to his credibility.

#8 Raised a Secret (Bejarano / Glatt) will challenge with the second highest last out speed number and two very sharp workouts.  He could set up nicely with a urgent pressing attack.  This guy favors the Hollywood Park track holding the second highest speed number over it.

Other Wagering Interests

#4 Sizzlin' Joe (Talamo / M. Jones) should contend with the third highest (tie) last out speed number at a route and four superb peaking workouts.  He should track the leaders and run fluidly in the stretch.

#5 Warren's Wild Thing (Orozco / Baltas) could be in the hunt sharing the highest last out speed number and putting in five superior peaking workouts.  Should a solid pace develop, watch this guy launch a strong closing kick.

Belmont Park R7. Optional Claiming.  Our first pick, Lawless Miss, finished 2nd for show money of $1.60.  Our second pick, Mah Jong Madness, finished 5th.  Our third pick, English Rhythm, finished 4th.
Superfecta went 8-6-3-2.
Bankroll dips to $1.60.  We will supplement with a Hamilton and a Jefferson for the balance of our horse racing weekend.
