Horse Racing Weekend Begins at Belmont

Officially we go into the Summer months.  Thursday begins our horse racing weekend and we take a gander at a splendid sprint at expansive Belmont.

Belmont Park Race 8 {6 furlongs~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~Optional Claiming}
A speedy field of eight will go to the gate.  The field sports plenty of speed and those that downshift at the start and follow the leaders will have the edge as they turn for home.  It looks like it will be a good quick race.

#4 Unbroken Dream (Saez / Rodriguez) has the edge with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two solid workouts.  She should be forwardly placed waiting to make her move.  A clear favorite.
$1 WIN / $1 SHOW.

#1 Hundred Acre Wood (I. Ortiz / Sciacca) will challenge with the third highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and one diligent workout.  She should be tracking the pace and will benefit greatly if it heats up.
$1 SHOW.

#2 Currency Union (Lezcano / Antonucci) could be the speedster that holds one with a good speed number two back and one bullet, peaking workout.  She has a strong in the money record at the distance hitting the board four of six times.
$1 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#6 Madre Ditutticapi (Castellano / Antonucci) should be in the mix with the second highest last out speed number and a two race progression.  She has a win over the Belmont track.  This gal should be forwardly placed ready to swoop down heading home.
