A Hollywood Friday

On a Friday there is nothing better than a little Turf racing and to take in a race in Tinseltown adds to the luster.

Betfair Hollywood Park Race 7 {Citation Handicap~G2~1 1/16 mile~3 year old Up~Stakes}
A highly competitive group of seven will take to the Turf in this annual stakes race.  Many in her are lightly raced this year and the vast majority are coming off at least a thirty day freshening.  There is plenty of speed to give it a exquisitely wholesome pace.  It should be one of the more exciting races of the horse racing weekend.

#2 Summer Front (Bravo / Clement) ships in with fine form.  He has a couple of decent last out speed numbers and three athletic workouts.  This guy also holds the second highest speed number at the distance in which he notched a victory.  Clearly ready for this race.
$2 SHOW.

#8 Winning Prize [ARG] (Nakatani / Drysdale) will challenge with the second highest last out speed number and four endurance building workouts.  He holds the highest speed number at the distance, albeit over a synthetic track.  This lad loves the surface as he is 100% in the money over the green.  He should be part of the front running herd.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#7 Silentio (Bejarano / Mandella) will be in contention for the win with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two superb peaking workouts.  He should be close to the pace ready to quicken coming into the stretch.  Expect him to be near the pace with a versatile running style.

#4 Big Bane Theory (Talamo / Gaines) could surprise with a couple of decent last out speed numbers.  He is coming off a longer route with four sensational workouts which is a good indication he will be ready to bring it.  Should the pace heat up, his tracking capability will be put to great use.
