Horse Racing Weekend Begins at Aqueduct

We start our horse racing weekend at Aqueduct.

Aqueduct Race 6 {1 mile~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~Optional Claiming}
A solid field of nine will go to the gate in this afternoon feature.  There is plenty of speed to keep the race tidy.  This should be a very competitive race based on speed figures; last out and at the distance.  These gals will roll out a good dirt mile.

#1 My Sparky (Castellano / Rodriguez) has a slim edge with the highest (tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and five stout workouts.  She could bide her time near the front and launch into the stretch.
$1 WIN / $1 SHOW.

#8 Tahoe Tigress (J. Ortiz / Englehart) will challenge with the highest speed number at the distance and three superb peaking workouts.  Coming off about sixty days rest she will be firing fresh.  With a spicy pace, this gal will be closing fast.
$1 SHOW.

#5 Saturday Nthe Park (Saez / Heffner) should contend with a couple of o.k. last out speed numbers and two hearty workouts.  She has an affinity for this distance and the course.  Motoring on the front end, she should be able to hold on for a piece of the purse pie.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#3 Dreaming of Cara (Rosario / Friedman) will be in the mix with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two speedy peaking workouts.  This gal is another who will track and close valiantly.

#7 Dulcedumbre (Esquivel / Goldberg) should have a shot with the fourth highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one strong workout.  She is another that should be forwardly placed seeking to control the pace.
