A Good Beginning At Belmont

To start off our horse racing weekend we look at a superb sprint at "Big Sandy".

Belmont Park Race 8 {6 1/2 furlongs~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~Optional Claiming}
A very speedy field of eight will take to the dirt.  All of these gals enjoy being forwardly placed and therefore a speed battle could ensue.  The speed numbers are closely in range of one another.  It could be quite a feature race.

#6 Frivolity (Castellano / A. Dutrow) will be going for her third straight victory after a brief freshening.  She holds the highest last out speed number at a longer sprint, a three race progression, and three powerful workouts.  She should be close enough to pounce on the leaders going into the stretch.
$1 WIN / $1 SHOW.

#8 Masasi (I. Ortiz / Donk) should challenge with her 90% in the money record from ten starts.  She holds the second highest last out speed number and has put in four solid peaking workouts.  This gal is the only one who has raced over the Belmont course in which she notched a victory.
$1 SHOW.

#5 Elena Strikes (J. Velazquez / Pletcher) should contend with a couple of good last out speed numbers in which she hit the board and two hearty workouts.  She should be tracking the pace closely and swoop into the stretch.
$1 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#4 Lost in Success (C. Velasquez / Rodriguez) should be in the hunt with the third highest last out speed number at a longer sprint, a two race progression, and two sound workouts.   This gal is 100% in the money from five starts.

10 CENT Superfecta

#6 Frivolity  /  #8 Masasi  /  #5 Elena Strikes  /  #4 Lost in Success.

Last Superfecta Sunday (5/4)
Santa Anita R4.  Honeymoon Stakes--G2.  A scratch of one of the horses in the field upended our 10 CENT Superfecta play. It was scuttled.  Superfecta went 1-2-5-6.
Our Bronze Horseshoe runner, Margo Machance [GB], finished 4th.
Bankroll dips to $19.19.
