A Dandy Stakes Saturday at Saratoga

An exciting Stakes Saturday as we peer in on a superb grade one at the "Spa".

Saratoga Race 10 {Jim Dandy~G2~1 1/8 mile~3 year old~Stakes}
A great crop of six will go to the gate in this graded feature. Originally set with seven, one entrant, Cousin Stephen, ran yesterday in the Curlin Stakes.  There is no speed in this one. Consequently the front running duties will fall to possibly one or two lads.  Most of the field have a supreme closing style which should make for a very interesting race.

#4 Tonalist (Rosario / Clement) is the overwhelming favorite who last out won the Belmont Stakes securing the highest last out speed number of this crew.  He is coming off a brief freshening with four robust workouts. This son of Tapit is in fine position to get the job done.
$1 WIN  / $2 SHOW.

#5 Kid Cruz (I. Ortiz / L. Rice) should challenge with the third highest last out speed number and two excellent peaking workouts.  He should be among the closers battling in the stretch. This son of Lemon Drop Kid has already notched a victory at this distance.
$1 PLACE /  $1 SHOW.

#7 Wicked Strong (Maragh / Jerkens) appears ready to contend after a fourth place finish in the Belmont Stakes, last out.  He is 100% in the money at this distance posting the highest speed number at same. This son of Hard Spun has put in four outstanding workouts during his brief freshening.  He could track closely and close well.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#2 Legend (Saez / Bond) could be in the mix, particularly if the lead defaults to him. He holds two good last out speed numbers finishing in the money in both.  This lad has put in four very strong peaking workouts during a brief layoff.  A son of Tiznow, he stretches out to this distance for the first time.

#6 Commanding Curve (Bridgmohan / Stewart) should have a strong go at it coming off two of the Triple Crown races where he performed admirably. This son of Master Command has put in four robust workouts during a brief freshening.  His closing kick is outstanding.
