On to Belmont for Turf Action

We start our horse racing weekend with a little Turf.

Belmont Park Race 9 {1 mile~TURF~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~NY~Allowance}
A top notch group of eight will hit the grass in this afternoon allowance feature.  It comes up very light on speed with only two that may be forwardly placed.  The balance like to come from off the pace which should make a glorious battle in the stretch.  A great race should unfold.

#2 Strike Accord (Alvarado / Kimmel) should have the edge with the second highest (tie) last out speed number at a longer route and two quality workouts.  She also holds the highest speed number at the distance.  This gal loves the Belmont course as evidenced by her 100% in the money record from five starts.
$1 WIN  / $1 SHOW.

#7 Miz Owell (I. Ortiz / Maker) should challenge with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two robust workouts.  She should track the pace closely ready to strike in the stretch.
$1 SHOW.

#4 Irish Sweepstakes (Lezcano / Hennig) should contend sharing the second highest last out speed number at a longer route, a two race progression, and two hearty workouts.  She is one of two that can be expected to be forwardly placed which might give her a slight advantage over the field.
$1 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#1 Desert Bliss (Maragh / Englehart) could be in the hunt with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and three diligent workouts during a brief layoff.  She is another that relishes the Belmont course with an 88% in the money record from nine tries.

10 CENT Superfecta

#2 Strike Accord  /  #7 Miz Owell  /  #4 Irish Sweepstakes  /  #1 Desert Bliss.

Last Superfecta Sunday
Arlington Park R6.  Maiden Special Weight.  We fell short by one in our 10 CENT Superfecta box effort.  Superfecta went 1-3-2-4.
Our Bronze Horseshoe runner, Ready for Summer, won (1st) for show money of $2.40.
Bankroll drops to its lowest level in months to $4.24.
