Another Great Horse Racing Weekend

We begin our horse racing weekend with a terrific Turf battle at bountiful Belmont.

Belmont Park Race 9 {1 mile~TURF~3 year old Up~fillies~Optional Claiming}
A swell group of nine will go to the green in this feature race.  There is enough speed in this one to keep things rolling.  All of these gals are still improving and have closely matching speed figures.  It should be an exciting race.

#5 Granny Mc's Kitten (Castellano / C. Brown) could be the winner with the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and four superb workouts. She should be close to the pace ready to strike in the lane.
$1 WIN / $1 SHOW.

#4 Passing Pfast (J. Velazquez / Motion) should challenge with the third highest last out speed number at a longer route, a three race progression, and three high quality workouts.  This gal should be tracking the pace ready to launch into the stretch.
$1 SHOW.

#10 Almurra (Alvarado / McLaughlin) is coming off an extended layoff after scoring a victory in her only race.  She earned a decent speed number in that Turf sprint effort.  This gal has put in three solid workouts prepping for her return. She should track the pace looking for an opening to shoot through.
$1 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#2 Bartiromo (C. Velasquez / Barbara) should contend sharing the second highest last out speed number, working a three race progression, and putting in one strong workout.  She is another that will track the leaders ready to make a good closing run.
