Horse Racing Weekend begins at the "Spa"

Thursday, the start of our horse racing weekend, we look in on a sharp race at the "Spa".

Saratoga Race 9 {Quick Call Stakes~5 1/2 furlongs~TURF~3 year old~Stakes}
A solid group of seven will take to the grass in this featured event.  There is a great deal of speed which could boil over into explosive fractions.  Nearly half the field will be making their first start over the Turf.  The speed numbers are fairly close which should make it a very competitive event.

#1 Pure Sensation (Lezcano / Clement) could have an advantage with the third highest last out speed number at a longer sprint and three sensational workouts.  He will be making his first start over the green and should be forwardly placed.
$1 SHOW.

#7 Chocktaw Chuck (T. Rice / K. Rice) should challenge with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two speedy workouts. He too should be forwardly placed looming large in the stretch.
$1 SHOW.

#3 Escapist (DeCarlo / Pugh) will contend with a couple of strong last out speed numbers, a two race progression, and four superb, peaking workouts.  He will take up speed duties with at least a couple of others hoping to hold on for a victory. This lad is the only one with a victory at this distance.
$1 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#5 Favorite Tale (Napravnik / Preciado) should be in the mix with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two robust workouts. He is another that could be motoring on the front.  This will be his first start over Turf.

10 CENT Superfecta

#1 Pure Sensation  /  #7 Choctaw Chuck  /  #3 Escapist  /  #5 Favorite Tale.

Last Superfecta Sunday (7/20) Results
Saratoga R9.  Allowance.  We failed to land the 10 CENT Superfecta box, hitting only two four wagering interests.  Superfecta went to 11-6-12-10.

Bankroll remains unchanged at $5.89.
