An Erie Start to Our Horse Racing Weekend

We look in on Erie, Pennsylvania for the start of our Horse Racing weekend.

Presque Isle Downs Race 4 {Fitz Dixon, Jr. Memorial Stakes~6 1/2 furlongs~2 year old~Stakes}
A very nice field of twelve will go to the gate in this feature stakes race. There is plenty of speed to get this race cruising. These youngsters all have fairly close speed figs which should make for a super competitive race.

#4 Bourbon Cowboy (Feliciano / R. Scherer) has the edge with the highest last out speed number at a slightly longer sprint, a three race progression, and two superb peaking workouts. This lad has not yet gone this unique distance, but has raced well in his three career starts.
$2 SHOW.

#8 Seraph (E. Rodriguez / Cox) should challenge with the second highest last out speed number at a longer sprint, a two race progression, and two robust workouts. He is coming off a sixth place finish in a grade three race. He should close swiftly.

Other Wagering Interests

#5 Duff (Villa-Gomez / Potts) appears ready to contend with a couple of good last out speed numbers, a four race progression, and one solid workout. This lad is 100% in the money from his four career starts. Watch this guy track the pace setters in good position into the stretch.
