Stakes Saturday at Churchill

We celebrate our Stakes Saturday by looking at a good dirt route down Louisville, Kentucky.

Churchill Downs Race 8 {Locust Grove~1 1/16 mile~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~Stakes}
A superb group of seven will take to the track in this annual feature. Speed come up a little bit light which might be to the forwardly placed advantage. The speed figs seem to be relatively close with a number in here capable of taking a step forward. All but one are coming out of a graded stakes.  It should be a highly competitive race.

#6 Don't Tell Sophia (Rocco / Sims) could have a slight edge if the pace becomes quick.  She holds the highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and three super strong workouts.  This daughter of Congaree comes into this one after five months rest.  This gal sports a 100% in the money record at the distance.
$2 WIN  /  $3 SHOW.

#3 On Fire Baby (Johnson / Hartlage) should be the speed that dictates the terms of the pace.  She holds the highest speed number at the distance, a couple of good last out speed numbers and three supreme workouts.  This daughter of Smoke Glacken is coming off a little longer route.  She relishes the Churchill course.
$2 SHOW.

#7 Molly Morgan (Lanerie / Romans) will challenge with the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and two solid workouts.  This daughter of Ghostzapper has demonstrated she loves the Churchill track. This gal should be tracking the pace looking for an opening.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#2 Tapit's World (Landeros / McPeek) should be in the mix sharing the second highest speed number, a two race progression, and two splendid workouts. She should be forwardly placed to get first jump on the leader.  This daughter of, you guessed it, Tapit is another that is 100% in the money at the distance, accomplished in four starts.

#5 Ria Antonia (Rosario / Amoss) should contend with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and two robust workouts.  This daughter of Rockport Harbor should be able to track and close with precision. She is a millionaire which is nothing to write off.

10 CENT Superfecta

#6 Don't Tell Sophia  /  #3 On Fire Baby  /  #7 Molly Morgan  /  #2 Tapit's World, #5 Ria Antonia.
