Horse Racing Weekend to Begin at Belmont

Another exciting horse racing weekend begins at expansive Belmont Park.

Belmont Park Race 8 {1 mile~3 year old Up~Allowance}
A solid group of eight runners will engage in this mile feature. There is enough speed in here to have a rip-roaring pace. The speed numbers are relatively close among this group. It should be a highly competitive race.

#1 MJ Plus (C. Velasquez / Jacobson) looks primed and ready to seek out the victory. He holds the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two peaking workouts. This lad should be tracking the pace closely ready to strike.
$2 SHOW.

#4 Cool Samurai (Maragh / Shirreffs) is coming off a extended layoff having only raced once earlier in this year. He holds the fourth highest speed number at the distance and has put in three superb, peaking workouts.  This guy will be closing fast in the stretch.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#7 Sir Leslie (Lezcano / Serpe) will challenge with the second highest last out speed number at a longer route and a two race progression. This guy also holds the second highest speed fig at the distance. He should be tracking and closing swiftly in the latter stage of the race.

#8 Encryption (Lopez / Breen) should contend with the third highest last out speed number at a longer route and two strong workouts. This lad has a versatile running style which should allow him to fit prominently within the pace.
