Furlong Friday in California

Another Friday rolls in.  We take a peek at a nice furlong race at a little race track that could.

Los Alamitos Race 4 {5 1/2 furlongs~2 year old~fillies~CA~Maiden Special Weight}
A great group of young fillies will take to the track in this Maiden Special Weight feature. As there are three first time starters in the race there is no telling which may wish to take the lead. Only one other gal appears to like forward placement. It should be a fun race as all of these youngsters begin their racing careers.

#3 South Texas (Antongeorgi / Pederson) looks the most promising with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one sound workout. She should track and close into the pace swiftly in her third start.
$2 SHOW.

#5 Party Rock (Desormeaux / Baffert) should challenge in her first career start. She has put in three tremendous workouts in preparation.  This daughter of Good Journey is conditioned by legendary trainer, Bob Baffert, who wins with 25% of his two year old charges.

Other Wagering Interests

#7 Caymus Kat (Van Dyke / Proctor) should contend in her first start with five super solid peaking workouts. This daughter of Square Eddie is trained by world class trainer, Thomas Proctor who holds a win rate of 17% with his two year old trainees.
