A Keeneland Horse Racing Weekend

A fantastic weekend of racing begins as the Breeder's Cup Championships open up tomorrow (Friday). Today we take a look at the very first race at that grand track, Keeneland.

Keeneland Race 1 {1 1/16 mile~3 year-old Up~Claiming}

A talented group of seven will enter the starting gate. There is plenty of speed to maintain an active pace. Speed numbers are close and very good. It should be a thrilling start to our horse racing weekend.

#6 Set the Sail (B. Hernandez / Montano) looks to improve as he will be dropping in class and distance. Scoring the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three stellar peaking workouts, he should be ready to roll. Expect him to be forwardly placed just off the pace.
$1 WIN  /  $2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#2 Prosecution (Theriot / Wilkinson) should challenge from a forwardly placed position near the lead. He holds the second highest speed number at the distance all the while securing a 83% in the money record from six starts at same. His last out speed numbers are respectable along with a three race progression.

#7 Winkatdawat (Geroux / Mason) is the favorite with the second highest last out speed number and one stout workout. He will be at or near the lead seeking to wire the field. This lad has the third highest (tie) speed number at the distance.

#5 Music Critik (Lanerie / Hamm) should be in the mix with a couple superb last out speed numbers and two hearty workouts. This guy should be part of the forwardly placed contingent seeking an opening to bump through.

10 CENT Superfecta

#6 Set the Sail  /  #2 Prosecution  /  #7 Winkatdawat  /  #5 Music Critik.

Last Superfecta Sunday (10/25) Results
Santa Anita R5.  Senator Ken Maddy Stakes--G3.  We bombed in our 10 CENT Superfecta Box effort capturing only one of the four wagering interests.  Superfecta went 6-2-7-4.
Our Bronze Horseshoe runner, Kool Kat, finished 6th.
Bankroll gets cut down to a penny. We will supplement with a Hamilton to initiate our Horse Racing weekend.
