Horse Racing Weekend Begins at Keeneland

The Breeders Cup is only a week away. For the start of our horse racing weekend, we begin with a terrific Turf race.

Keeneland Race 8 {1 3/16 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~fillies/mares~Allowance}

A great group of ten gals will hit the Turf in this feature allowance. There is no speed in this race. Consequently, expect a Euro-style run with a quickening in the turn for home. Speed numbers are closely matched making for a highly competitive event. It should be a magnificent Turf race.

#5 Dating Lady Luck (Mena / Stall) should go off as the deserved favorite. She holds the highest last out speed number at a longer turf route and two good workouts. This gal is one of only two that have traversed this distance scoring the highest speed number at the distance and over the surface. She should be tracking the pace closely.
$1 WIN  /  $2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#2 My Senses (McCarthy / Motion) should challenge with the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and two stout workouts. She appears in great form and will be stretching out for this race. She is another that will be in the track pack.

#3 Giant Deduction (Geroux / Block) should contend with a couple of good last out speed numbers and two strong workouts. She is dropping in distance for this turf battle coming off a race at Kentucky Downs. Look for her to track the pace as well.

#6 Valseuse (Santana / Lukas) should be in the mix sharing the second highest last out speed number at a longer Turf route, working a three race progression, and putting four superb peaking workouts. This gal is another tracking type.

10 CENT Superfecta

#5 Dating Lady Luck  /  #2 My Senses  /  #3 Giant Deduction  /  #6 Valseuse.

Last Superfecta Sunday (10/18) Results

Our Bronze Horseshoe runner, Ceisteach [IRE], finished 2nd for show money of $3.60.
Bankroll sheds a few dimes to settle at $3.81.
