On this Good Furlong  Friday we take a look at a fine New York sprint.

A talented group of eight will go to the gate in this contentious sprint feature. There is plenty of speed to maintain a honest pace. Speed numbers appear to be fairly close to keep a fiercely close race. These New York breds will provide an level of excitement on this Furlong Friday.

#4 Lucky Lurie (Alvarado / Hennig) should be one of the favorites with the highest last out speed number and a three race progression. He also holds the highest speed number at the distance combined with a 100% in the money record at same. This lad will be tracking the pace closely.

#1 Gehrig (Caramouche / Levine) should challenge with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and three hearty workouts. This lad holds the second highest speed number at the distance coupled with a 75% in the money performance from four starts at same. He should be forwardly placed battling on the front end.

#7 Aragonite (Franco / Donk) should contend with the third highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two strong peaking workouts. He should be tracking the pace ready to strike.

#3 Fumin Newman (G. Saez / Jerkens) will be in the mix with a couple of solid last out speed numbers, a two race progression, and three solid workouts. He should be tracking the pace and follow through into the stretch.
