Furlong Friday begins Our Horse Racing Weekend

On this Furlong Friday we look in on a terrific race on an all weather track.

Turfway Park Race 3 {6 furlongs~3 year-old Up~Maiden Claiming}

A full field of twelve will hoof it over the polytrack in this maiden contest. It comes up a little light on speed. Speed numbers are fairly comparable with one first time starter in the race. It is a challenging race with many of these thoroughbreds keying up for improvement.

#11 Rumlad (Goncalves / Ward) is the first time starter in the race. A son of English Channel, he has put in four superb workouts prepping for this race. Trainer Wesley Ward is excellent at bringing out horses for their first start.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#8 Notmuchtolookat (Aragon / Evans) should challenge with the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and one solid workout. He also holds the second highest last out speed number at the distance. With the proper amount of speed he should track and close valiantly.

#5 Roberts Rogue (Prescott / West) should contend with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and a three race progression. This guy will attempt the distance for the first time coming off a slightly longer sprint last out.

#4 Hundreds (Doyle / Kobieski) should be in the mix sharing the second highest last out speed number and working a three race progression. He is another coming off a slightly longer sprint.

10 CENT Superfecta
