An Arkansas Superfecta Sunday

Today we enjoy a maiden special weight down in Hot Springs, Arkansas for our Superfecta Sunday.

Oaklawn Park Race 9 {6 Furlongs~3 year-old Up~AR~Maiden Special Weight}

A nice field of twelve will enter the gate to see who can break their maiden.  Lacking in speed, notwithstanding what the three first time starters may do, it should be an interesting race. There is quite a range of speed numbers as most of these have made very few starts. Our task is to knit together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.

#6 Tapit Star (W. De la Cruz / McBride) might go off as the deserved favorite with the highest last out speed number having hit the board in that race. He will be making his third start and should make a further improvement. A son of Double Irish, he should track the pace.

#4 Lieutenant Powell (Loveberry / Hornsby) could inherit the pace by default. He holds the third highest (tie) last out speed number and two hearty peaking workouts. He hit the board in his only race. A son of Line of David, he moves up in class for this race. He is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$2 SHOW.

#9 Private Lake (F. De La Cruz / Martin) is a first time starter with strong connections behind him. He has put in two solid workouts and could do well at first asking. A son of Hamazing Destiny, he should battle these foes valiantly.

#12 Gone Dancing (Court / Fires) looks to take another step forward in his fourth career race. He holds the third highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two sound peaking workouts. A son of Spotsgone, he should track the pace and sashay into the stretch.

10 CENT Superfecta Box ($2.40)

#6 Tapit Star  +  #4 Lieutenant Powell  +  #9 Private Lake  +  #12 Gone Dancing.
