Finishing out by the Jersey Shore

Sunday. The last day of the horse racing weekend.  Today we finish out the weekend by the Jersey shore at Monmouth Park.

A very nice field of twelve will battle in this Turf sprint.  Gentleman Jackson (Trujillo / Rivelli) seem to have a slight edge with the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a five race progression, and two well-built, peaking workouts.  Stormin Bud (Castro / Fawkes) will be in the hunt also with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one solid workout.  Platte River (Albarado / Carlisle) is well rested and ready with two decent last out speed numbers, a five race progression, and one nice workout.  Sunshineintherain (Carmouche / Whylie) looks to grab a piece of the purse with the highest speed number at the distance and one good workout.  Close To The Edge (Marquez / Trombetta) should be in the mix with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two hearty workouts.  Let's play Monmouth Park.

Saratoga R9.  Our first pick, Ash Zee, finished 4th.  Our second pick, Belle Of The Hall, finished 3rd for show money of $2.50.  Our third pick, Pica Slew, finished 8th.  Superfecta went 3-4-7-6,8.
Saratoga R10.  Our first pick, Quality Road, finished 2nd.  Our second pick, Musket Man, finished 3rd for show money of $2.50.  There was NO Superfecta for this race.
