From Monmouth to Arlington

A couple of fine Turf races for further tune-up to tomorrows Arlington Million and it's fabulous undercard.  Today we look at a Turf route at Monmouth Park and one at Arlington Park.

Monmouth Park Race 8 {1 1/16 mile~Turf~3 year old Up~Allowance}
A nice field of ten will start in this race later today.  Red Elephant (Moya / Breen) has an edge with the highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression and two superb, peaking workouts.  His coupled entry, They Call Me Giant (Bravo / Breen) could also win with the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and two strenuous workouts.  Silver King (R. Alvarado / Preciado) looks solid sharing the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and three strong workouts.  Tune Me In (Trujillo / Alexander) will be pressing the pace on the front end with a decent last out speed number, a five race progression, and one key workout.  Marvelous Chester (Lopez / Serey) is coming off a longer route with a decent speed number and should be in there for a piece of the purse.  Solvent (Castro / Weaver) looks ready to grab a nice piece of the purse pie with a decent last out speed number, a two race progression, and one good workout.  Let's play Monmouth Park.

Alvarado / Mathews) looks ready to run well coming off a longer route.  Saint Leon (Karlsson / Boyce) will firing on the front end hoping to stay on long enough for a piece of the purse.  Let's play Arlington Park.
