To Monmouth for Summer Stakes

The horse racing weekend comes to a close with some of the finest 3 year olds lining up for the Haskell at beautiful Monmouth Park.

Monmouth Park Race 12 {Haskell~G1~1 1/8 mile~3 year old~Stakes}
An exceptionally strong, equally talented field of eight will go to the gate for this annual race.  There doesn't appear to be a lot of speed in this race.  Consequently, it will be settle on pace and who gets the jump on the turn heading into the stretch.  Lookin At Lucky (M. Garcia / Baffert) appears to rested and well prepped with five sensational, peaking workouts.  He has the second highest speed number last out and sports a three race progression.  Super Saver (Borel / Pletcher) appears to be ready and will probably be motoring on the front end.  He has put in a firey four workout tab in preparation for this race.  First Dude (Dominguez / Romans) may share the front end duties with a solid speed number at the distance he seems to be developing as a specialist at.  He has also put in an exceptional four workout tab.  Afleet Again (Bravo / Reid) looks sharp with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two sturdy, peaking workouts.  Trappe Shot (A. Garcia / McLaughlin) is the buzz horse with the highest last out speed number, the highest speed number at Monmouth, and two strong workouts.  Let's play this fabulous summer stakes race at Monmouth Park.
