Premiere Tracks, Premiere Stakes

It is Saturday stakes day.  Today we look at the Sword Dancer at Saratoga and the La Jolla at Del Mar.

Saratoga Race 10 {Sword Dancer~G1~1 1/2 mile~inner Turf~3 year old Up~Stakes}
An exciting race will unfold as ten go to the starting gate.  All of these are equally matched making for a mind numbing handicapping fete.  Telling (Gomez / Hobby) has a nano edge with the highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and three robust workouts.  Marlang [CAN] (J. Velazquez / Drysdale) looks great and will be motoring on the front end of this group.  He posts the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three endurance producing workouts.  Marsh Side (Nakatani / Drysdale) looks well prepped for this race with the highest overall speed number at the distance, the third highest speed number last out, a three race progression, and three strenuous workouts.  Romp [ARG] figures to be in the hunt with the fourth highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one solid workout.  Bearpath (Borel / Wilkes) will be the surprise in the mix with a decent in the money record (75%), a couple of decent last out speed numbers, and three hearty workouts.  Let's play Saratoga.

Del Mar Race 9 {La Jolla~G2~1 1/16 mile~Turf~3 year old~Stakes}
Super competitive field of eight will try to ge the victory in this one.  All have tremendous capability.  Alphies Bet (Smith / Barba) has a slight edge with the third highest (tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and two fantastic workouts.  Macias (M. Garcia / Baffert) should be the speed with the highest speed number on the Del Mar Turf and two good workouts.  He should hold on for a piece of this.  Kid Edward [IRE] (Flores / Cassidy) will be the suprise with a nice win at this distance, a three race progression, and three brawny, peaking workouts.  Leroy's Dynameaux (Bejarano / Glatt) will be charging for home looking for a piece of the purse with a couple of decent last out speed numbers, a four race progression, and four well-built, peaking workouts.  Sydney's Candy (Rosario / Sadler) will try the Turf for the first time and should be in the mix.  He has the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three strong workouts.  Let's play Del Mar.

Friday's Results
Saratoga R7.  Our first pick, Interactif, won (1st) for win money of $3.60.  Our second pick, Nordic Truce, finished 4th.  NO Superfecta for this race.
Bankroll sheds a few cents to $6.29.
