Big Sandy in September

Let's take a gander at a great distance Turf contest at wide open Belmont Park.

Belmont Park Race 9 {Bowling Green~G2~1 3/8 mile~inner Turf~3 year old Up~Stakes}
A true field of seven Turfers line up for this event.  Some of the top Turf trainers in the country converge with their contenders to notch another win.  In this strongly competitive field any one of these Turferscan emerge as the victor.

#7 Grassy (Gomez / Clement) looks much the best with the second highest last out speed number, the highest speed number at this distance, and one solid workout.  He could be near the front end ready to launch a kick in the stretch.
$1 WIN / SHOW.

#4 Bold Hawk (J. Espinoza / Toner) will challenge tracking the pace with the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and three hearty workouts.  He also holds the second highest speed number at the distance.
$1 PLACE / SHOW.

#3 Sanagas [GER] (Maragh / Motion) could close down this field with the highest last out speed number at a longer route, a two race progression, and one quality workout.  It would come as no surprise if this guy wins.
$2 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#2 Sal the Barber (C. Velasquez / Clement) will challenge with the highest (tie) speed number over the Belmont course, sharing the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one hardy workout.  He could be the big surprise.
