Graded Stakes On Friday

Today we take a gander at a fine graded sprint in upstate New York at the "Spa".

Saratoga Race 8 {James Marvin~G3~7 furlongs~3 year old Up~Stakes}
A highly regarded troop of nine will make the start in this annual graded stakes race.  There is tremendous speed in this one.  Though many of the speedsters also have tactical ability which should make this race a very good one.

#1 Politically Correct (Rosario / Ward) may benefit from the vast speed in here with his late running style.  He holds the fourth highest (3-way tie), a two race progression, and two stout workouts.  He could make another improvement.
$2 SHOW.

#4 Sage Valley (C. Velasquez / Rodriguez) could go off as the favorite with the third highest (tie) speed number at the distance.  His last out speed number was good in a grade two race and he has put in one solid workout.  This guy has a versatile running style that will allow him to be patient waiting to see how the pace develops.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#3 Souper Speedy (Lezcano / Albertrani) will challenge with the highest last out speed number and one wholesome workout.  He shares the third highest speed number at the distance coupled with a 100% in the money record at same in four races.  This guy too as a speedy, versatile running style.

#7 Right to Vote (Cohen / Moquett) could surprise with sharing the fourth highest last out speed number, holding a four race progression, and putting in one groovy workout.  Expect him to be forwardly placed.
