Stakes Saturday at the "SPA"

A lovely Saturday to take in the sights and sounds at your local race track.  Today we take a look at a terrific Stakes race at the glamorous Saratoga.

Saratoga Race 10 {Coaching Club of America Oaks~G1~1 1/8 mile~3 year old~fillies}
A great, but small field of five will go to the gate in this annual stakes race.  There is enough speed to keep the pace smooth.  Any one of these gals could step up to win it.  Despite the short field, it should be an excellent race.

#3 Unlimited Budget (J. Velazquez / Pletcher) could roll to victory with the third highest (tie) last out speed number at a longer route and three robust workouts.  This daughter of the great Street Sense has a versatile running style that should set up well among this group.  She holds the highest speed number over the surface and the second highest speed number at the distance.
$1 WIN / $2 PLACE / $3 SHOW.

#4 Princess of Sylmar (Castellano / Pletcher) will certainly challenge with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and four superb peaking workouts.  She will be firing fresh after a brief layoff.  This beautiful daughter of Majestic Warrior holds the highest speed number at the distance and the second highest over the surface.  She should track closely and could close them all down.
$1 PLACE / $2 SHOW.

#1 My Happy Face (Rosario / C. Brown) could have something to smile about with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three hearty workouts.  This daughter of Tiz Wonderful is 100% in the money in her six career starts.  She should take another step forward while being forwardly placed.  This gal has traveled well over the Saratoga track securing the highest speed number of this group.
$1 SHOW.

10 CENT Superfecta
