Superfecta Sunday along the Jersey Shore

Superfecta Sunday and it is the Haskell we take a look at.  This splendid summer Stakes race also features one of the best undercards of the year.

Monmouth Park R13 {Haskell Invitational~G1~1 1/8 mile~3 year old~Stakes}
A great field of seven will go to the gate.  There is a hefty amount of speed and forwardly placed types that could favor a tracker or closer.  All but one in the field were nominated to the Triple Crown this year.  Also, all but one in this wonderful group have had a brief freshening prior to this big race.  Let's try to cobble a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.

#5 Oxbow (Stevens / Lukas) returns after a brief freshening which he needed after a long campaign.  He holds the second highest last out speed number and has put in one solid workout.  This guy should be forwardly placed ready to rumble.

#4 Power Broker (Napravnik / Baffert) could surprise with the highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and four speedy workouts.  He has good versatility and should take advantage of whatever pace lies ahead.  He is our Bronze Horseshoe runner.
$2 SHOW.

#1 Vyjack (Lopez / Rodriguez) appears here instead of yesterday's Jim Dandy.  He holds the second highest speed number at the distance, had a decent last out speed number, and has put in two superb workouts.  He should be close to the pace ready to strike in the lane.

#7 Verazzano (J. Velazquez / Pletcher) should be ready to fire off another terrific effort with the highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and four robust peaking workouts.  If this guy is let loose on the front end, he will wire this field.

10 CENT Superfecta Box ($2.40)

#5 Oxbow  +  #4 Power Broker  +  #1 Vyjack  +  #7 Verazzano.
