Happy INDEPENDENCE Day!!

We start our horse racing weekend on the most wonderful day of the year, Independence Day.

Belmont Park Race 9 {Poker Stakes~G3~1 mile~TURF~3 year old Up}
A top notch field of seven will take to the grass in this 4th of July feature.  There is enough speed to keep this one sailing fast.  All in here are quite capable of pulling off the victory.  It should be a very good race.

#4 Data Link (Castellano / McGaughey) should be favored with the third highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and four sensational peaking workouts.  This guy is coming off an approximate sixty day freshening and should fire well.  Known for a nice pressing/tracking attack the race could set-up perfectly for him.
$1 WIN / $1 SHOW.

#6 King Kressa (I. Ortiz / Englehart) could swipe this one off the front end.  He holds the second highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and two solid peaking workouts.  This lad is 100% in the money over the Belmont course in six starts.
$1 SHOW.

#1 Upgrade (J. Velazquez / Nihei) looks to improve off a short freshening.  He has posted a couple of good last out speed numbers, a four race progression, and two hearty workouts.  Should the pace heat up count on this guy to come a runnin'.
$1 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#2 Big Screen (Saez / Albertrani) is another expected to motor on the front end.  He holds the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two robust workouts.  This will be his second attempt on the Turf which should result in a nice improvement.

10 CENT Superfecta

#4 Data Link / #6 King Kressa / #1 Upgrade / #2 Big Screen.

Last Superfecta Sunday (6/30)
Monmouth Park R9.  Lighthouse Stakes.  Our 10 CENT Superfecta box effort fell short capturing only two of the top four.  Superfecta went 1-5-6-3.
Our Bronze Horseshoe runner, Moon Philly, finished 5th.
Bankroll tumbles to $1.90.
On this Independence Day we will supplement with a Hamilton and a Jefferson, two bills ($10 and $2) memorializing two of the USA's founding fathers.
