Friday Mile

Thank Goodness it is Friday.  Today we take a look at a very contentious mile race in New York.

Aqueduct Race 7 {1 mile~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~Claiming}
An extremely competitive group of eight gals will take to the dirt in this claiming affair.  There is sufficient speed to keep the pace honest.  All speed numbers are fairly comparable.  this race could be the handicapping challenge of the week as any one of these ladies could pull off the victory.

#4 Jerusalem Stone (I. Ortiz / Hennig) could out class the field with the third highest speed number at the distance, an o.k. last out speed number and two decent workouts. She could take up a nice tracking position and close formidably.
$1 SHOW.

#7 Casual Elegance (Franco / Hizo) should challenge with the highest last out speed number at a longer route, a two race progression, and one peaking workout.  She could be forwardly placed to take advantage as the pace unfolds.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#5 Platinum Bombshell (Esquivel / Englehart) looks to take another step forward with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and two hearty workouts.  She could also be forwardly placed patiently waiting for the pace to develop.

#8 Night Reader (Sone / Gutierrez)  should be in the mix with the fourth highest last out speed number at a longer route, a two race progression, and two diligent workouts.  She should be forwardly placed pressing the leader.
